GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

A Fabricator is responsible for building unique custom dimensional props and media under the direction of the Foreman and Director of Fabrication. Our team is currently looking for a skilled custom Cabinet Maker who can also seamlessly transition into support of general fabrication, assembly, carpentry, and packing through the application of cross-disciplinary skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Read Blueprints / Shop Drawings
● Move Seamlessly Throughout Woodshop Tools and Stations
● High Productivity While Maintaining Accuracy
● Equally Comfortable Producing Parts By Hand or Assembling CNC Components
● Excellent Detailing, Bondo Work, Surface Preparation, Lamination
● Follow And Meet Production Of Timelines
● Adapt Quickly To The Demands Of Challenging And Unusual Projects
● Packing, Transportation, And Installation Of Finished Props

TERMS

● Position is Full-Time, Hourly Work With Benefits
● Hourly pay rate will be based on qualifications

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

● BFA in a design or a trade license/certificate (or 2 years of experience working in a custom fabrication shop)
● Follow Written and Verbal Directions Well
● Proven track record demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines in high stress situations
● Demonstrated self-starter
● Elevated attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
● Aware of relevant health and safety procedures related to working with tools and chemicals
● Physical demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to lift 50+ lbs safely
● Positive attitude is a must.
