ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead and/or oversee day-to-day client relationship management, serving as the lead point of contact for customer(s). 
    • Develop and present POVs/recommendations to clients.
    • Guide the planning, coordination, execution and measurement of client initiatives.
    • Help counsel clients with new and creative ideas and trends.
    • Oversee key account responsibilities including budget tracking and forecasting, operations and internal leadership updates. 
    • Be a motivational, supportive and accountable manager in a fast-paced environment.
    • Oversee the day-to-day requirements needed to complete tasks for assigned account(s) and ensure client satisfaction. 
    • Coordinate client meetings with appropriate representatives from other departments (strategy, sales, creative, production, project management, fabrication, logistics, etc.)
    • Set meeting agendas, pitch concepts and summarize results 
    • Partner with leadership to develop account strategies with an entrepreneurial mindset to generate account sales and growth 
    • Meet deadlines and project budgets in partnership with the producer team.
    • Manage multiple concurrent programs using SFM’s established process framework.
    • Analyze project requirements and work with teams to create methods to achieve goals and maintain a project plan while ensuring quality control.
    • Communicate project objectives and progress to leadership and clients on a regular basis.
    • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of relevant experience 
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude 
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations with effective results 
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized multi-tasker with ability to manage competing priorities
  • High-quality written and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Creative problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team 
  • Desire to learn, be continually challenged, and grow 
  • Ability and willingness to travel (5+ per month) 

 

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • Familiarity with camera equipment
  • Interest in photography

This is a local position, so candidates must be based in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
